I have an unusual coin that seems to be stuck Korean on one side and chinese on the other. Is this rare and what is the value?
As best I can tell from the images, your coin is a standard 5 fun coin minted in 1895. Korean coins at the time used both Chinese characters and Hangul (Korean) in the inscriptions. Two types of 5 fun coins were minted in 1895. Please compare your coin with the the second 1895 coin at this website. I'm sorry but I do not know the coin's current value. Gary
Thank you for your information,as I spend time learning about these coins it is amazing to find facts about the language and how characters can cross over!
