OK here's the details. The 6th floor of the Radision hotel. I walked right past the person that was supposed to collect my admission fee. So I got in for free. There was a large table with assorted foods. I didn't even bother taking anything since I got in for free. There was about 30 or 40 dealers. Almost NO buyers while I was there. Some of the dealers where pretty good people others where no dought bottom feeder. that where ALL OVER YOU if you stoped and looked and others seemed to be half asleep, lol. I only saw only a small amount of US gold. Which was really very suppressing. I recall only seeing 6 sellers with US gold, none of t was anythign to say oh HEY LOOK AT THAT other then a few old gold Proofs,A few others with some world gold. One seller was desperate to sell off his US paper notes he had about 3 tables full and I don't think anyone was biting. He literally was taking STACKS AND STACKS of money out trying to sell me, I didn't even mean to stop at his table I got pinned in with another guy by people walken past. ( wasnt alot of walker space ) He, like 98% of the seller's, where WAY over priced. I did see a few OK deals but nothing great. Grabbed only a few Morgan's from a seller that stated to me I don't deal in VAMS and found out that most of his Morgan's had where some REALLY very nice VAMS in the mix.lol Needless to say I got those at a steal. I spent $30 bucks for a 1899O MS64+ and found out a few minutes ago while looking in my 100 top vam books that its a VAM6 worth around 1200.00 loll. So I guess I didn't do so bad. Although I went with the intent of meeting up with the guys from IGC which sadly where not there today. I was lead to believe they would be slabbing coins there. Also It seemed that almost all the dealers i talked to seemed let down b the lack of collectors showing up. At least for Sunday turn out. I expressed to them all, its because of parking. I had to park a half mile away and walk in. They really need to have those shows at the EXPO center. that will be CHAOS. Anyhow IMHO i was not over all impressed or happy with the out come. It was maybe one of the saddest coin shows I have ever been to. Sorry to say. If you didn't make it don't sweet it. You didn't miss much. On m way home I thought to myself. I could have staid home and played around on ebay.

I was there on Sat....it was pretty busy from 11:00 till about 3:00. I sold all of my duplicates that I had in the "Open" portion of this forum and basicly got what I was asking for. I bought a "pre-order of 2007 ASE for 312.00 and bought my first 1914 Gem CU $20 Large Size Federal Reserve Note!! What a nice piece of currency. The roll of Silver Eagles cost $12.00 more than the note...I shot the breeze with a few folks and left. As far as being a major show..naa it was the same turn out as the years gone by...
Hey Nathan's Coins..give me a shout next time you are going..

You went in without paying, and you call some of the dealers "bottom feeders"

I just walked in.. No one said anything to me I didnt even see where to pay. I should, I guess also CLEAR UP what I mean by bottom feeder. There was a few guys marking coins that are au58 max, as ms 61 62.They know there only going to be there a few days and head out of state again.

But in your first thread you said "I walked right passed the person that was supposed to collect my admission fee"

I agree with Nathan on this. If no one is there to collect any money, I'm not going to go out of my way to find someone to give $5 to.

When getting off the elevator to the 6th floor you are dumped out at the admission table to the right. To the left was room with assorted dealers. The admissions table had 3 people stationed there. The food table was a pay for what you get and manned by two Hotel Staff Waiters. There were several Security folks around. The only way past the pay table is to make a left when you get off the elevato. If a large group of people are standing there then is is easy to walk by...but we are only talking $5 ...

Besides they issued "Red Wrist Bands" to entrants, and Green Dealer ribbons to the Dealers....
Thats how it is almost every year. The color changes..thats all. Same food, same dealers for the most part..same Venue!
