So I put up a complete set of 5 Roll Business Strike ATB quarters plus 1 extra roll of El Yunque and 1 extra roll of Hawaii BS S's. I state that the 5 rolls come in the original box. I had buyers email me asking me if the box was sealed. I stated IT WAS NOT SEALED. Help me out CT'rs, cause I don't know what this seller thought they were getting. So here was the Title of the ad "2012 S Business Strike ATB Quarters Complete 5 Roll Set w/ 2 extra rolls."

Now here is the body of the ad

Up for bids is a complete 5 roll set of the 2012 ATB State Park Quarters. You also receive an extra roll of the 2012 S Business Strike El Yunque and the 2012 S Business Strike Hawaii' Volcanoes state park quarters. Everything comes in the original white box from the U.S. Mint. So that's TWO El Yunque's 2012 S BS, and TWO Hawaii' Volcanoes S BS. Have fun and happy bidding!

Here is the buyers negative feedback:

    "
Slow shipping! Description of items misleading!!"

What was misleading? I mailed the items out in the original white box. The two extra rolls were put in the plastic mint holders. No box for those. THEY ARE EXTRA just as I stated in my ad. So what did I do wrong or is the buyer just a whiner?

I wonder if this person thought they were getting 5 rolls of silver quarters. I don't know how though. I clearly stated several times. Business Strike S.

Slow shipping does not warrant negative feedback. A misleading description may, and apparently the buyer thought he was getting a sealed box. Did you allow the questions/answers to be added to your item description? Or possibly you should have revised (or added a note) to the auction description indicating "not sealed". Also, exactly how long was it before you shipped? If you can't ship within 24 hours, you shouldn't be selling on the 'Bay. Did you print your label through eBay? This uploads tracking info immediately. Did the buyer ever email you with his complaints prior to posting a neg? Almost always a problem can be worked out.

I see that they did not. I would chalk it up as a bidiot

That would be a definite problem... and the seller should realize if the auction is selling well over retail.

Auction ended on late Wednesday/ Early Thursday morning.I mailed it out on a Friday afternoon. Save Sunday it should only take three or four days. I did print my label through ebay. The buyer never emailed me with any complaints or questions. In fact I went back to check previous emails from bidders and he was one that hadn't emailed me about the item. I should have stated box unsealed. I didn't know how to add the questions and answers to the ad. That is just stupidity and inexperience with ebay on my part. It's why I tried to be as detailed as possible in my ad. I find it rather comical that below the negative feedback for shipping is a positive one for quick shipping. LOL. I had several items for bids at the time. I mailed everything out together to all my buyers. That is what has me stumped, everyone else left positive feedback.

Well, you have three negs in the past 12 months, all involving shipping problems. If, in fact, you shipped as stated, you may have a case with eBay. They will remove unwarranted negatives. I do have a problem with the fact that the buyer posted his neg 33 days after the auction ended. Your item sold April 23... when did tracking show "delivered"?

Yes item sold on 4/23. I waited 2 1/2 days for payment. 4//23 was a Tuesday, buyer paid on mid friday afternoon of 4/26. It's when I shipped it out. It shows delivered on may 3rd. It went from Maryland to Montana. It went from my city to Baltimore on May 1st. That took a day ( It sat at my local post office overnight on 4/30. Then from Baltimore it went to Billings and that took another day. ( May 2nd) It arrived in Billings at 2.30 in the morning, ( On the 3rd of May ) then it was dispatched to the sort facility at another post office in the buyers town. It arrived there at 8.36 A.M. Then it was delivered to the buyer almost exactly 2 hours later.

Sounds like you did everything right, you could try and get Ebay to remove the negative.

First off...the Buyer sounds like a first class A-hole for giving you a neg in this situation. However, in his defense, certain descriptions can have implied meanings.

Take "OBW roll" for instance. That doesn't mean a roll that was wrapped by a bank (or wrapping center), and later opened/searched, and replaced in it's original roll. It means (implied meaning) that the roll is unsearched since leaving the rolling facility. Similarly, "Original Mint packaging" generally implies it's sealed; uninspected by anyone after leaving the Mint. I know this could be a gray area so it always helps to clearly identify the item as Opened or Unopened to avoid any confusion.

When something like this happens to me, I get upset and usually don't do any more business with that Seller. If I want to push the issue, the best I can hope for is a return...or a dispute in my favor resulting in a return. In any event, I have to pay for return shipping. That, plus the time it takes can be incredibly annoying. However, I wouldn't Neg the guy under such circumstances ...neutral? ...maybe.

Oftentimes, folks new to eBay will neg a Seller under any circumstance that doesn't please them. You can always limit bidders to some minimum number of feedbacks before allowing them to bid on your auctions. Other than that, try putting yourself in the Buyer's shoes as you write your ads and try avoiding ambiguous terms when describing your product.

Just a stupid buyer, unfortunately nothing you could've done to prevent it. eBay does remove unfair feedbacks now, I haven't gone through the system yet..but it may be worth a shot for this..how long did you take to ship it?

Reading the ad I would think the rolls come in the original white boxes. But the photo shows rolls out of the boxes.
How do you fit all of it including the Mint boxes into a small flat rate box?
Why only one photo? Too lazy?
Why are there only five rolls in the photo?
The ad is a mess. You should take your listings more seriously.
