1849 large cent

Grade looks Fine- Very Fine and the price probably anywhere from $10-15 dollars.

not a expert grader so id wait till other people chime in

 

I was also thinking F15 or so. According to most price guides a F coin in that year would retail for $25 or so.

 

This auction was a fair price, but it is crazy to see how high large cents get bid up on ebay. My local coin guy sells them is fine-xfine condition for 15-20 but I see ebayers paying 30+ for some of the same coins. Most don't realize book prices and real prices are a bit different.

 

My local store buys xf coins from me for between 35 and 45 dollars depending on the year. This coin was borderline F or vf. Nice color but it does have that small scratch on obverse and minor rim bumps. I might have overpaid by a couple bucks for resale but oh well. Make it up on another coin!

 

Appears to be F-VF IMO.
Not a bad coin, you should be able to make a few $$
