1951 Error Penny? What is this??

    Hello. What made these strange cuts or notches on this penny? I had one guy say scissors or a nice but look very closely at the cuts. It's almost like the cuts have a weld like look on the lips of the cuts. I don't think it was a knife or scissors. I think the cuts wouldn't look the same. I'm wondering if someone pressed it in something that made the cuts? Also, the cuts seem pretty evenly spaced. Either way, weird coin.

    I thought the same but why do some of the slits look kinda like a weld? Lol

    It looks like metal flow on the edges of the cuts to me.

    It is a damaged cent.

    PMD, probably from one of the old Coke Machines that didn't take dollar bills.
