This morning's eBay "expensive reading lesson"...

    That is crazy, the seller should send a message to the buyer to reassure that they are empty boxes. It would save him lots of time and headache if the buyer thought they were getting coins.

    Well, not exactly empty... you get the insert and the COA. Just load 'em up with some circulated junk and dump 'em at the flea market for $40 each... instant profit from your mistake.:smile

    Very true. Empty mint holders sometimes draw crazy money on ebay.

    the biggest ripoff is they are charging $6.00 for shipping empty boxes

    Regardless of what the auction states, I think this seller will get a negative.

    Wow, I just dredged this up during a search, and discovered two surprises:

    1) The original listing is still reachable on eBay, almost two years after it ended! It looks like it was re-listed, and that listing is gone. I'm amazed that any auctions are retained this long.

    2) That other auction of 7 empty boxes for $63.77? He got positive feedback for it -- "Good deal"! (Seller is coinb1000; he's got 100% positive feedback over the last year.)
