I need help identifying this 1937 D/D RPM Buffalo Nickel. It is to the southeast, as you can see. My first guess is CONECA's RPM #5 because it is the only east and south RPM listed. However, there are two issues with that attribution. I have the 1983 RPM book which shows a picture of RPM #5 and the primary mintmart is closer to the "C" in Cents than the one I have. In addition, RPM #5 is supposed to be a D/D/D and I am only seeing a D/D on this one. Does anyone have any thoughts? Anyone have a Buffalo reference book that they could check for me? It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!
Nice find. I do see a split lower serif, and what appears to be doubling south inside the mint mark at the top. Unfortunately I don't have any photos to confirm #5.
Got it! Wow! Don't know how I missed that! Makes sense to me now, it must by #5. Maybe the lighting on my picture vs the lighting in my RPM book made the position of the MM look farther a from the "C" than it really is. Thank you so much Jallengomez! That was a big help!
