1966 and 69 double dies?

    Are these double dies? On the 66' back, the e pluribus is almost not there. Thanks!

    The liberrty on the 66 also looks like the date. I'll post a couple more pics later if needed.

    They do not look like doubled dies to me.

    We need to be able to see more pics inorder to judge. But it is great to see the DDO lincoln hunt has started , remember sharing is caring :yes:

    I also couldn't find the 'FG' initials next to the monument on the 66.

    Take it easy guys..You can save the image and turn it upside right. And, it's a droid phone and I am taking the pics right side up. Thanks for looking though.

    Hey Maverick:

    From 1965 to 1977, there is a great deal of variation in nickel strikes. Most of them seem to be slight doubling as the die double taps the planchet. Also, the mint marks (1968D, 1968S, 1969D, 1969S, 1970D, and 1970S) move around a lot! !971 to 1977 less so. Lot's of fun looking for varieties (but not profitable).
