Hello again! Is this a 1970 s small date? It does have that curl in the 9 I read about. I could attempt to take another pic if nessasarry. I had to brighten it up with the exposure in the room I took the pic in. The coin has good eye appeal despite the pic. Thanks for the info!
Another large date. When you come across a small date, there will be no mistaking it. Look at the direction that the loop of the nine points. If it points towards the bottom of the 7, it's a large date. Here's one other site that has some good diagnostic information: http://www.thecentproject.com/sort1970.php
Very hard to tell from the pics. It does appears to be a small date from what I can see. Is there anyway to get a better picture of the date? Dusty
Nice find ... I like the 1970 s DDO personally. With the image that you provided it is hard to tell if it is actually a true DDO. In my opinion it does exhibit some of the characteristics of the 1970 s DDO but im not 100% sure, what you should do is check the website http:// LincolnResource.com. Good Find ;:thumb:
All DDO/ DDR Error collectors Post some Examples and share with the Community.... Howdy;:welcome: I ' am a real big junkie for DDO/DDR coinage and find them very fascinating to collect. I would like to see more Error coins posted so that we can educate each other on what is Doubled and what is Machine doubling that is the only way that we all can become novice collectors of the many varieties out there. Hopefully we can get some show and tell going, So Post that Error Coin and let the games begin. In the meantime I will be figuring myself what I have to do to be able to post better image quality ...... Peace ,:hail:

Doubledie, Does your camera have a macro setting? If not, you might try taking a picture through the loupe. I've seen people have decent results doing that. I'm in the middle of photographing some RPMs, and I'll try to post a couple tonight.
Jalen- Thanks! I will see if I have a macro setting and also try the loop. I think you will see better what I'm seeing that way. I'll attempt to re post soon. It looks like the s mint mark is much higher then typical too.
Thanks for your input non-cents but I'm still not sure about that. The 9 seems to have that curl a little bit and seems to be level. But I'm just not sure.
Ignore the curl of the 9 and look at the 7 in the picture, it is visibly lower than the other numbers in the date. Definitely a large date.
But look at the height of the 7 compared to the rest of the date. It is definitely lower. Both curls "point" to the 7. However, the tip of this one is blunt and points to the base of the 7... Not the middle. Keep up the hunt!
I know nothing about the difference between the two. However, if I had to put money on who's probably right I'd go with non cents. He's the resident expert.
