Was it the one that sold for $10.02? If you don't want to answer, that's cool. If so nice job!

It is not a class III DDO, it is a class I (rotated). You probably mean DIE 3, which it could be. Once you get the coin in hand, you can check for markers.
In the future, I probably wouldn't bid on a supposed doubled die if I had to ask if it is one, too much risk involved IMO.

Don't interpet my information as negative. I was just giving my opinion and view. I don't see how my previous comments can be construed as negative either.

Ok sorry I read it wrong but in your eyes do you think 3 1972 ddo just like this one for 13$ is a bad deal

I think as an educational piece, you did fine. If you were planning on reselling it, you may have overpaid a little, but it's not like you are losing big bucks or anything. Once you get it in-hand you can check for die markers on coppercoins.com, as die 3 and die 8 are very similar.
    Keep up the hunt!

I don't think non cents was being negative. I think what he was trying to say is try to best figure out which one it is before you jump into a bid. I think the one you posted has a much nicer spread than 004. Just for example, 004 in VF is listed at $225. Where 003 & 008 at VF is $3.75. That's a huge difference! Like I said, I think 3 & 8 have much nicer spreads. I think he is just trying to keep you from getting ripped off.

That's exactly my point, thank you, Jay. I wouldn't want a member to bid on a coin listed as die 4 when in actuality it is die 5...which is a several hundred dollar difference. Trust me...I have seen many auctions that claim to be a rarer coin than is pictured, and I have seen those auctions rack up hundreds of dollars of bids for a $20 coin.
