I am completely green on this stuff and these sets enticed me but are they really worth buying like the uncirculated and the gold plated quoters are they worth buying or not? http://www.thepatrioticmint.com/Gold-Plated-State-Quarters--Complete-Set-of-56.aspx http://www.thepatrioticmint.com/Category51_Presidential-Dollar.aspx http://www.thepatrioticmint.com/Category28_National-Park-Quarters.aspx
Only if you enjoy collecting those particular series, and want a whole set in one shot. The first one has zero resale value (the gold plating adds nothing to the value), the others aren't bad, but if you look around enough you should be able to find them for equal or lesser online or at a local shop.
yeah I didnt think so but I just dont know where to start collecting and what I am suppose to look for
start with your favorite coin series and go from there. buy the book first and learn as much as you can about grading on that particular series. buying what YOU like is the key to happy coin collecting.
yeah i ment to put up the uncirculated set not the gold plated http://www.thepatrioticmint.com/Uncirculated-State-Quarters--Complete-Set-of-56.aspx
It's one of those sites that charges too much for everything it sells . You can do better and have more fun collecting these from change . Also buy some coin books on coins that interest you . Also the ANA 6th edition grading guide and a Redbook , those will get you started . The old saying buy the book before the coin has been around a long time because it's true . Happy collecting .
Depends on what you want. If you want to collect, this is not collecting. If you want to posess, you could probably get it cheaper. Read the Red Book and don't be in too much of a hurry. Try and find a coin shop around you (look at Google, phone book, go to flea markets) and always check your change. You can always start roll hunting!
