Was wondering everyone's opinions on grade and condition. Thanks!

If that picture is truly representative of the coin I would say UNC details cleaned. Just not a lot of luster going on there.

Well the lack of luster isn't as prevalent in hand but I thought the same thing. Does it look like a recent cleaning or is it an over done dip?

It looks like it was dipped too long.

Ugh, I wish people wouldn't do that. So what would you pay for this?

Honestly, regardless of the luster issue, I wouldn't pay for it at all. The coin is damaged, has several scratches on it.

Checking in Heritage, problem coins for this date/mint range around $40-$60 for harshly cleaned. And scratched is worse problem than that.

Not just dipped, but cleaned. Scratches, as Doug said. Unc details, damaged. What would I pay for it? Nothing.

I would disagree with the polished part. I would agree with thee UNC details possibly au details ...not that it matters. But heck if you like it buy it for as cheap as possible. I wouldn't lose sleep if you don't get it. I would definitely say the life has been sucked out of this old lady with jewelry/silver dip. What a shame.

Thanks for the reply. I already bought it when I started the thread and got it for $30. And like I mentioned, the lack of luster isn't nearly as bad in hand. Gonna try to work on my photography skills a little more. Seems most of my coins come out this way regardless because of my lighting.
