Is this genuine? I figured the field areas were lamination errors or tiny die breaks and it has a cool re-punched date. Anyone help? $(KGrHqJHJEEFGNNi1W!5BRk68sL9mg~~60_57.jpg $(KGrHqQOKp0FGQf--5qCBRk68roPSw~~60_57.JPG $T2eC16VHJHQFFheP8g8DBRk68qZC9!~~60_3.JPG

I think it is real from a worn die. And yes the date is repunched.

Looks legit. Worn die and possibly some corrosion.

Looks real to me as well. The counterfeits I have seen of these were easy to spot.

Thanks. I thought it was real, but a buyer emailed me with questions about it possibly being a counterfeit. I wanted to make sure before I yanked the auction out of fear. Thanks to you guys, though, I'm confident.

I think it's quite possibly a contemporary counterfeit.

    1) The bottoms of many letters seem crooked or poorly done
    2) The lines in the shield, both vertical and horizontal, are lumpy and often not evenly spaced.
