I picked up 3 Mexican medals I'm trying to learn more about. They are each 2 ounces and each a representation from a famous painting by Frida Kahlo or Diego Rivera.

Wow that coin is gorgeous. Where do you find all these amazing toners?

I don't know about WingedLiberty but this is what my answer would be to that question.

I (hypothetically) find all these toners by keeping my eyes open and utilizing every resource available.

That seems like a solid generic answer to me! I know I wouldn't be giving up my honey hole.

^^^and don't you just love it when the other posters come through here and tell you that you can never find a decent coin on eBay and that everything is 'dreck'. You seem to be proving that whole notion completely false.

Some of it is pure luck and good timing. I doubt that 1830 CBH would have lasted the hour.

Sometimes you just stumble into a bargain like this $18 Buy It Now coin. You just have to keep your eyes peeled and hope for a lucky break every now and then.

Thats too funny. They spelled with the "V" for victory in WWI. Using the old roman letter. Sweet buy.

Those colors take all the sting out of the lousy job the mint did with Abe's new re-done face.

    Love this coin!!

These came in today with a 62' proof set. The nickel has pretty neat character, lots of haze on it.

The obverse of the Lincoln has a pretty unique looking camouflage look to it.

I recently purchased this beauty on eBay and she made it in today's mail. I know she's not in the best shape, but I had to make her mine. It's actually my first PCGS purchase in at least a year...lol.. When did PCGS change their labels? I actually like them a little better now! :thumb:

First let me say that thing is gorgeous. Now question, what exactly is that? I first just skimmed it over as a AGE but the original st.gaudens reverse on a 2009 coin has me confused.
