Got it in change this morning went to a couple of places before I found it. just checked it started out Cullman ALA. 18 march @ 8:07 pm 646 miles in 57 days or so. http://www.wheresgeorge.com/
I don't follow what you are saying. Are you saying you went to a couple of places before you found the 'Where's George' note or you had to search the Internet to find the Where's George web site? (Every 'Where's George' note I have found had the web address prominently stamped right on the note, sometimes multiple times.)
I didn't find it till I had gotten change from a couple of places and found it when I went to pay for something. Here are a is photo for those that haven't seen one yet.
WG users generally discourage posting photos that show the serial number of bills because someone could enter the bill to up their score without receiving it in change.
Why not...it's a hobby like anything else. It might not interest you or I...but it does a lot of people.
I am not a WG user, and till I got one I had only heard about them. Like the people that get stoked about tarnish/patina on coins(excuse me toning) which can be chemically induced in less than two hours. Or the people that are into assembling the extreme worn out coin sets. They are all part of the hobby, and some in the hobby can only ask why? It is interesting if only in passing, like counter stamped coins I had heard about them and seen them in the forums. But till Monday I never got one in hand in change!
I just got a "hit" yesterday on Wheres George. I've been doing this since before I retired from the NYS Bridge Authority. Something to pass the day.
