I am looking for a thread that talks about rim punch errors and anomalies. Maybe I searched the wrong description?? any one direct me or have clearer wording I can put in the search bar? thanks so much ~samisue
What is a "rim punch error"? Please describe what you are talking about so we can understand it. Better yet, please post a good photo of a "rim punch error". Are you talking about the rim (the raised border along the outside of the obverse and reverse) or the edge of the coin?
Idk what i just did to my profile and all, trying to upload a picture and I can't find where any options are. Maybe this forum thing is above my skill level =( Plus I accidentally changed it to a different format, created 4 empty albums and can't change it back! Oh, i hit default mobile style...but even though I've clicked on the 4.0 version again, it won't reset. . .
Can't tell if it is a misaligned die error or die deterioration. Either way it is not worth much more than face value. Keep up the hunt!
By the E and the D , I know the actual rim on this is from damage, but did it also effect the top of E and D ?
