I picked this up today on a road trip to Idaho we stopped in a little town in the middle of no where to get gas. And across the street was a little thrift store so my curiosity got the best of me and I asked my wife to pull over there and I went in and looked around (mainly for coin's) and they had One lonely seated half I asked how much and they said 10 bucks it's been here a really long time and without hesitation I gave them 10 bucks. And I know it's rough and cleaned and scratched but a 1877 seated half for 10 bucks I couldn't beat it I'm happy with it.
I don't see that it is cleaned and scratched like you said it is just low grade. $10 was a good price for it.
Awesome score! People always tell me that coins are overpriced at thrift and antique stores. I still look. You never know what you're going to get! Congrats!
