1979 penny, weird 79

    I found this '79 penny in my grandpa's change. The 7 and 9 appear smushed out and wide compared to the 19, and the 9 looks weak in the middle. Also, there is a ring around Lincoln's head (starts above last 9), probably PMD but worth mentioning I think. What is it called, and is it worth anything?

    Looks like the coin took a few hits. It is damage.
