Hi everyone just wanted to check with the pros that is manmade error. Fourth post and I know why people get addicted to coin collecting. Any help would be great. Oh the error is on the back and on the building. I had to take it finally as a side view you could see it.
I want to make sure I’m looking in the correct area. Can you please be more specific as to where on the building you are referring to?
Might be a die crack. Interior Die Break-IDB Photo slightly blurred No addl value but worth saving as a learning example
Don't use the words manmade error. There's no such thing. Just Mint Error or Post Mint Damage/Altered
I don't see it. Cropping the photo and correctly rotating it might help. Looks like a nicer Nickel though. The steps look pretty good, nice luster.
Sending another picture thanks for taking the time to help me if this does not I will print it out and try putting arrows on it
If you are looking at the coin in all different directions trying to find a flaw. That's not really the way errors and Variety's work. The lighting worked good enough that you could see what you wanted to show. That doesn't mean that if you crop and rotate the coin it gets blurry. Our minds are trained to see things in the correct orientation. Sideways and upside down don't work.
You have a photo so hopefully on your cell phone. All you need to do before you post it is crop out the background.
You have to go to the gallery section of the phone for some of the options. What Phone do you use Laurie? Or are you posting from a laptop?
