Not really a roll find, but the other day I got this in change at local store, Sure made my day. I haven't seen one of these in circulation since the '60's.

Box of halves - skunk on silver, but I kept an 06P, 07D x 2 and an 09P

$280 Loomis MWR dimes: 3 Roosies

 

50 dollars cwr and bwr nickels: 2 war nickels, 2 canadians, 2 2009s, and 11 pre 1960s.
Box of pennies: 6 wheaties oldest was 1919, 3 canadians, blank planchet?????

I found this penny today. I have two comments about it.

1. It is amazing how much fun it is to see the letters VDB
2. It is amazing how many times you can check the same coin for an S mintmark!

 

$100 CWR Nickels: 1945P War, 26 pre1960, 2xCND, 1xItalian 100 Lire and Thailand 1 Baht.

 

1937, 1945, 1950, 1955 in penny rolls (10) today. And a 2009 D Nickel, which I needed for some reason

 

Fri searches:

$180 Loomis MWR halves: skunk ($3,190 since last silver)
$180 Loomis MWR dimes: 2 Roosies

 

Gosh, I am lucky. Out of my 10 dimes that I have in a jar, one of them happened to be a 1948.

 

I wasn't intending to search for coins yesterday, but I'm glad I did. I went to dump all my loose change in a coin counting machine. I found two silver Roosevelts and a silver Merc in the reject bin! That got me going. I got some dime boxes and found a few dimes. I went to turn in the unwanted dimes and got 2 40% Kennedy's from the teller's tray! That's five silver coins just from turning in my unwanted coins! By the end of the day I had:

• 2 part silver silver Kennedy halves
• 14 Silver Roosevelt dimes
• 2 silver Canadian dimes, 1955 and 1961
• 2 Mercs, 1940 and 1943

 

Three boxes of halves over the last two days yielded 17 total silvers: 3x64' and 14x40%ers.

That puts me over 200 for the year!

14 came from two boxes shown in the pics, but I also found 6 beautifully rainbow toned 72's. My pics don't do these coins any justice...they really are spectacular! Do you guys think there is any value to them, or probably not given that they are clad? I haven't seen any like these before while CRHing.

 

There's a whole thread about that going on now. I'd say yes, they at least have some premium to them

I grabbed 2 boxes of Halves and a box of Nickels on Friday.

Found 2 1942 war nickels a P & S mint mark, My first Buffalo with no date & 18 pre1960 dates.

Halves I found a 1968 & 1964 and 1 1994 Proof.

One of these days I will hit a Monster Box not sure when but I keep hoping lol

 

Two boxes of halves last night.....both skunk

 

Found another proof quarter in circulation 2010.
