so i got some bills for my birthday. i was wondering if they were worth anything over face value.the bills are a 1963A 5 dollar star note #L12438006. a 10 dollar 1969 c #L45378701B normal bill. is it worth anything over face value? and the cutagra a 1937 bank of Canada one dollar bill #J/N5857500. i was wondering how much it is worth? all the bills are average circulated bills with a crease down the middle. the Canadian bill on the other hand is perfect besides some discoloration around the edges. thanks for your time!
The US notes may be worth a premium, particularly the star. I'm not familiar with Canadian notes however. Please post some photos to help us.
1937 $1 Series will have two signatures below 'One Dollar......Un Dollar' Coyne - Towers or Gordon - Towers or Osborne - Towers Generally, Osborne-Towers worth the most (retail around $200 for AU condition) other two (retail around $35 AU condition); believe the #J/N rules it out of the other minor varieties. That's based on two Canadian shops.
Send me your addy in a PM and I will send you another note for your birthday..the only requirement is that you live in the USA and that you post a pic of it when it arrives. BTW.. you only have until the 11th to PM me ..after that deal is off! Happy Birthday!! RickieB
