I saw this listing that confused me. It's a Polish proof coin, but the slab says it is Greek. It is obviously Polish and I even found it in Krause under Poland. I don't know who this grading company is, but they would have to be pretty bad to make that mistake. Even if it was made in Greece for some reason, it should still be listed as Polish right? http://www.ebay.com/itm/140967976218?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649
Mostly unknown fact, but Poland briefly invaded Greece in 1979 and quickly minted their own coinage. Worth purchasing just to be able to show this to other people and laugh together at "NNC".
Please Note: WE WILL NO LONGER SHIP TO LUXEMBOURG, AUSTRALIA, LIBYA, SPAIN, EGYPT, INDIA, UNITED KINGDOM, GREECE, CROATIA OR ITALY·
It's a nice coin, I have a few of the "próba" coins in my collection, but I think I'd prefer it not in that slab. If I were a bidder on that auction, I'd want a nice discount over retail because of it being in that slab.
The coin will end up selling for a lot more than I'd pay for it, but I have a soft spot for Polish coins, being half Polish myself. I was actually looking for Greek coins when I found it though, which is what got me wondering.
Adding to what Peter says, I won't buy anything at a full collector price in any slab save NGC and PCGS. Even they mess up, but just not as much.
