    Ihave a couple questions, how much silver is in the 1942=45 nickels? Ihave read 35% and 40%

    How many coins of one type do you have for it to be considered a hord?I found a coin in a roll of nickels that on the reverse said it was a "new penny" any idea where it is from?

    wvrick:
    First: the war nickel has: 56% copper, 35% silver and 9% manganese;
    2) It depends on the coin, I would consider 2 or more 1901 S Barber Quarters a hoard, but it would take ten or more of the 1896 S Barber quarters for a hoard. If you are talking about 1914 Barber half dollars, more than #20 pieces, I guess. 1950D Jefferson nickels? over a roll possibly more. So, I guess that it depends.
    3) New Penny: I believe is British.
