Found this S.S. Adams Co. Nickels to Dimes trick kit in some old things from my grandparents house when they passed away.

I wonder how old it is. It appears you can still find kits like this, but they appear to have newer packaging.

I'm most curious about the coins inside

    I would say from 1990 to 2004.

I'm thinking 1990 or older. The text appears to be typewritten.

it has to be after 1974 thats when the first product was scanned with a barcode

The first UPC marked item ever scanned at a retail checkout (Marsh's supermarket in Troy, Ohio) was at 8:01 a.m. on June 26, 1974, and was a 10-pack (50 sticks) of Wrigley's Juicy Fruit chewing gum.[SUP][7][/SUP] The shopper was Clyde Dawson and cashier Sharon Buchanan made the first UPC scan. The NCR cash register rang up 67 cents.[SUP][8][/SUP] The entire shopping cart also had barcoded items in it, but the gum was merely the first one picked up. This item went on display at the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C.[SUP][9][/SUP]
