I was just browsing ebay and found an Uncirculated Old SF Mint Dollar Comm. coin for sale. the #is, 180055520130. he say's he has it in hand. I was told that the Mint is not shipping the UNC. coin till December 15th. So whats up here???
If you order yours today, they will not ship it until Dec 15th. However, people who ordered earlier have theirs in hand.
Ed, I feel for you because I've been through this stuff dozens of times.In fact,the Mint has charged my card not once but TWICE for my SF Unc and then withdrawn the charges.Apparently they mixed it up with my ASE set ($100) which they shipped without charging me.Two days ago,the 100 bucks popped up and the 33 bucks went away. BUT,I no longer stress out about it because eventually in the next couple of weeks,it will show up,I'll look at it off and on for a day or two and put it in a drawer with my Thomas Edisons and Wright Brothers and Ben Franklins and all the others I can't remember. Patience my friend,our Mint works in mysterious ways.(kind of like you know who)
I thought I paid for mine in August, but the website says my order is on "hold". Still not rich yet and in grad school, so I'm livin paycheck to paycheck. Maybe my account didn't have enough in it. I thought they were charging my card AT THE TIME I ORDERED IT. Who knows
Absolutely right.Unless they make a boo-boo as in my case,the money will be charged about 3-4 days prior to shipping.I use a debit card so it's very important that I have the purchase price on it at all times during the "waiting game".I blew it once and my order was cancelled!

Hello, first post here. Just got my SanFran today. Does anyone know of a way to find out how many orders have been placed so far? Or how to find out how many total orders are placed at the end of the year? If I remember correctly, they normally only produce them for the number of orders, no extras.
According to one of the latest Numismatic News, sales figures were as: 139303 2006-S San Francisco Mint PR S$1 58940 2006-S San Francisco Mint BU S$1 I still have my PR on hold, and my BU pending delivery 12/15/06. I was one of the first that ordered on Aug 28. For some reason I am under the impression that they were sending the PR and BU together to save shipping.
Mine came in separate packages. I had to return the uncirculated because it was out of the holder and scratched. You might be better off getting them last.
Judging by those numbers, it would seem that the uncirculated versions would become more valuable since there will be fewer of them out there. Would this be a sound forecast?
