Tennessee man discovers grandparent’s treasure http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/...d=maing-grid7|main5|dl2|sec1_lnk1&pLid=307702 The secret floor safe had gotten wet which damaged some contents. The video shows some modern bullion coins and rolls of coins that would be fun to search.
Methinks the lesson here is DO NOT put your safe in the ground, in the basement, where it can hold water. Other than that, im sure he landed a nice score. Hope my grandkids do the same
I kinda followed this on Reddit as they posted periodically. What puzzles me is how they fit all that stuff in what looks like a tiny floor safe - at least the lid makes it look small. Would the size of the safe have been much larger than the lid??? how'd they get all that stuff in there?
I went to view this video and of course there was a commercial at the beginning. It seems like these commercials which I first noticed a few months ago are all over now. When I go to You Tube I get commercials at the beginning of a video. When on Facebook, where my friends write, there is a commercial between posts. Is there a way to eliminate the commercials and just go straight to the videos?
If I discovered a treasure like that I certainly would not broadcast it to the world (for a number of reasons).
Here's some of the finds in "Box 1" --> http://imgur.com/a/PHDeb Pretty neat stuff, some gold, seated liberties, GSA, etc...
they need to take thoes out of the rusty 2x2 as soon as possible shouldnt at least some of thoes have some tone from the rust
I hope that the coins are properly conserved. It would be unfortunate if someone took the coins from their holders & cleaned them with silver polish.
I can't think of a better example of how not to store your coins...or anything for that matter. Granny might as well have stored them in the septic tank.
