http://mintnewsblog.com/2013/05/2013-silver-proof-set/ this is the biggie: "The 2012-P Chaco Culture 5 Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin will see its price reduced by $50 from $229.95 to $179.95."
When silver was $35.00 and they were selling at $229.00, the premium was 30%. Now, with silver at, let's say $25.00, a selling price of $179.00 yields a premium of 45%. I think I did the math correctly. Anyway, on a premium percentage basis, the Mint is not really doing anyone any favors.
That's true. I'll probably get the White Mountain and the Great Basin, if the price stays in this range. I'm not much on military parks, so the Perry Victory and Fort McHenry are not on my list. Also, I don't want a 5-ounce engraving of Thomas Jefferson's nose, so Mount Rushmore is a no-go.
