1964 SMS Lincoln

    Ok so at this moment am out and about. Cannot post pictures at this moment but will later. Was wondering how to identify if indeed I do have a 1964 SMS Lincoln. Thanks.

    One of the easiest diagnostics to quickly rule SMS out is the rims. SMS Cents will have sharp, almost proof-like rims.

    You may have a 1964 cent from a proof set. Here is an example.

    The easiest way for me to tell the differance is that the field has more of a smooth mirrored finish look than regular business strike examples show.

    1964 SMS sets are extremely rare. Here is a link that may help you. Pictures would certainly help us :)

    Pretty sure it is just a proof. After looking at my other SMS's still have a gander though if you need more pics just let me know
