I bought a 1/4 kilo of uncleaned Romans out of the UK and have been cleaning on them. Here is a nice little Greek coin of a lion. There have been quite a few Greek coins in this lot.
Now I will have to purchase a book on Greek's......................lol

The presence of a Seleukid bronze in a hoard from the UK would be quite exceptional, though not completely unheard of. I suspect you don't have a proper hoard, but rather a group of single finds acquired from a middle man, with their ultimate origin somewhere in the east.

BTW, nice coin. Hopefully my little clue can help you ID further!

Coin 4 and 5 I'm liking it real well. Total coins recieved 57

I have not started trying to attribute them until I have cleaned them all.

If you recognize any please feel free to tell me.

Yes, Sir Mr. Anthony, here is coin 6 and 7 all of them still need a little more work.
There are, after a good bit of work. It looks like over half of them are Greek.
The folks I bought them said that the hoard came out of the desert somewhere in the Middle east.
They amaze me an it is so much fun to watch them as they were used
in circulation. So ever coin is subject to the use and wear in it's length of
circulation. Some are newer and others are worn from their time in Ancient commerce.
