so my birthday was on Tuesday. i just turned 16 and my grandma found a bill. that she does not no how she got it. just that she wrote her name on it when she was a kid. it is a crisp 1938 Canadian dollar. the only thing wrong with it is that my grandma singed it. is it worth a lot of money like 100-200USD? if not then i will write my name on it and pass it on like she is doing to me.

    1938? not 1935 or 1937 series?

Would love to see a photo of when you do.
Here's the Bank of Canada Currency site, will show you the different series issued (no values listed)
    http://www.currencymuseum.ca/national-currency-collection/past-series-bank-canada-notes/

For the 1937 Series & I know value is partially based on who's signatures are on the bill; not sure if your Grandma's signature would be too appealing to collectors though.....

I think the 'coins and canada' website list values for Canadian bank notes but not sure how up to date it might be.
