No they are genuine copper color, I use a flourescent light and an old Nikon 950. I am fooling with the white balance, and on gold specimens these settings are great, coins Im having a harder time, let me take a few more, also the detail isnt as great as I would like

It's has nice detail...but appears to have an old cleaning.

Btw, your natural gold pictures are spectacular!!! There are a lot of people on the Bullion thread that would love to see them if you care to share.

Please don't tell me someone walked in off the street and sold them to you for the price of a hot meal...:bangg:

Yea, im more of a gold buyer branching into coins, I have had many many many people come to me (as they are shopping around town) and ask what I would pay for 90% and Morgans/Peace. I pay 90% of spot for 90% coins and I pay (even at todays prices) 23.00 for morgans and $22.00 for peace dollars which is a lot higher than other local guys. These coins were in a box with over 200 wheat pennies (all post 1934), some canadian large cents, some mexican, some british and other mixed coppers, he asked me for a price and I quoted the lot and he was happy so we did the deal. Finding these at the bottom of the box was a good stroke of luck........one that doesnt happen very often. I am learning more about the coppers and older coins and usually use Ebay as a guage and pay what stuff goes for on Ebay MINUS 15%

Well its definitely a C9 Mark, so thanks for that catch, I have been looking at this sucker for hours under a scope and under the black verdi there is still a ton of detail so we will see how well the verdi-care works on it, definitely an exciting find for me! I will keep this thread apprised of progress!
