I have been presented with the unique opportunity to expand my home remodeling business but will need cash to do so unfortunately requiring me to sell off my collection of Ikes... Although its hard to do the money will go along way with helping to secure my future and enhance my gross yearly income. It does suck though, I rather enjoyed unwinding at the end of each day by searching online and local auction sites. The coins are gone but the knowledge I learned from CT will remain along with the friends I have made here. I just wanted to post this because I think CT is a great place for all and i have learned soo much reading the posts here. I will also become a paid member of the sites once the coins are gone to help sustain this great educational source for everyone to use..... Thank you everyone........
You don't have to actively collect coins or even own coins to be a contributing member here. Hope you stick around.
I never said i was going anywhere just taking a break from buying and like i said in my above post purchasing a paid membership to help keep this great forum going. I've learned a good bit from all of you here and am highly appreciative for that.
Sad to see the collection have to go, but glad you'll still be around. Best of luck with your business - doing this will hopefully make you more successful and you can then rebuild your collection with better examples later on, right? Positive thoughts...
the great thing about coin collecting is that you can sell your coins and sometimes buy them back at a later date. Ikes are not rare and can easily bought back later. you might have had some nice toning on some that you might not be able to buy back. I have had sellers remorse too. it sucked but those were hard times back then. it's nice to know that I continued collecting coins. they are so much fun plus i can escape in my coins.
