PCGS authenticated 2009 Nolan Ryan 40th anniversary Gem BU $1 Silver Eagle Bullion

It's just a bullion coin, but I'm assuming that the autograph & PCGS authentication might add some value. Thx!

I mean no offense to the original poster, but the entire concept of that coin strikes me as bizarre. Having Nolan Ryan sign a silver eagle slab makes about as much sense as having the mint director autograph a baseball.

If they were going to have Nolan Ryan sign a bunch of PCGS slabs to sell for a profit, wouldn't it have made more sense to buy up a bunch of the 1992 commemoratives that had his image on them?

No offense taken bg35765. I picked it up at an auction for melt...figured that the signature & PCGS authentication would add to the value & didn't see how I could go wrong.

For the record, I agree with you completely. Thanks jiggy... I checked for awhile, but could only locate one on worthpoint that I didn't have access to.

What's the world coming to.... baseball and coins? I just don't think they go together.

They do next year, three commemorative coins marking the Baseball Hall of Fame. All with the same design. The reverse will be a baseball. Two of the coins will also be domed with the obv concave and the baseball reverse convex (So as to look more like a baseball.)
