I do it to pull silver coins and I sell anything that I can make a profit on and buy silver with that money. So far this year I have made $279 on $41.35 face value from coins found in rolls and this isn't including the silver I find because I keep that myself. Not a lot of money but a real good return on investment.

I've always seen CRH'ing as supplementary income for some folks. I'm with Simon however, I do it for the thrill of the hunt...variety treasure hunt that is ;)

I prefer getting bags of cents at newstands as such. I have the best luck with that over bankrolls, but the issue I have is I get impatient and pick all the wheats !!! So by the time Im half way through, all I have to look forward to is the chance on cherrypicker list cents. Atleast with bankrolls there is always a chance of another wheat.

The smiley face means it's a joke... you have a lot to learn.

No, you do. Who in their right mind would know that?

CRH isn't extremely profitable unless you get lucky, but if you can get entire boxes at a time of dimes or halves, it can be quite rewarding for minimal time spent. I can go through a box of dimes in 25 minutes tops. They have about one silver per box. One silver dime for 25 minutes of easy work isn't bad. Remember, at a job (minimum wage or otherwise) you would be expected to do something more strenuous than sort coins. It's really a matter of finding a bank that will order boxes for you, and another that will accept your coin dumps. Once you've done that (and if you had a bit more capital) it's easy to make a little bit of money over time.

OK... Anyone who has spent a few minute to read and learn on this forum would know that.

Absolutely! Anyone who disagrees has had an awful lot of luck if they are getting results searching quarters. I have never pulled a single silver quarter roll searching.

I have only searched a couple of thousand dollars worth of them and turned up exactly one dark 1964-D. The main problem with quarters is I end up with too many Canadians that are a pain to get rid of. Halves are usually so so, but very occasionally you hit it big and well silver halves are worth decent dosh so you keep searching. Dimes are worthwhile, but I find the best from CWR vs. BWR though. I have lots and lots of wartime nickels though, probably about 350 or so. I have completed a couple of rolls of silver Roosies.

Curiously enough with quarters I have better, albeit dumb luck, with finding them in change.

I love CRH and I've been tracking my numbers. So far I've searched $2,160 since 4/10 and have found 13 silvers and like 40 wheat cents. Not going to be super rich, but this is certainly cash-positive. www.BigGameCRH.blogspot.com

I have only found 9 Silver Dimes this year and 8 came from CWR. I have only searched about $1,300 in dimes but I would guess only $200 was from CWR so my odds are much better. I have pretty much switched to CWR hoping to find someone who unloaded their collection.
