I see "something" in the field behind Libertys left arm. On the reverse, I see "something" in between the eagles left wing and its body. Any ideas?

What you're seeing are die clashes. These occur when the obverse and reverse dies collide with one another when no planchet is present in the striking chamber, resulting in a transfer of the one die's design elements to the opposing die.

Die clashes were a common occurrence at the Mint during this era. They're fun to study, but most single-denom clashes carry little to no premium.
