Ok so I am a Lincoln Cent collector. As a lot of others I do search cent boxes. Was wondering how many have found 1996,1998,1999, and 2000 wide AM's? Also has anyone here found a 1992 close AM? If you could post pictures that would be great and also encouraging. Thanks.

I've been searching since the middle of January, and I've found two 1998's and five 2000's. This is just a guesstimation but I would say I'm averaging 1 every 1000 on 2000's and 1 every 4000-5000 on the 1998's. Nothing yet on the others.

236,707 cents searched; 13-2000 WAMs, 6-1998 WAMs found. I have yet to get lucky and find a 92 or 99.

Dusty - I've found about 30 1998 and 2000 wide am's and only 2 1999's ... 1 was good enough to sell on ebay and the other had a lot of corrosion. The only 1996 wide am was found by Billy Crawford and was stolen soon after it was taken to a coin show after it was found. Im guessing it was the only one ever found and makes me wondering if it was real in the first place..... you should also put on your radar list the 1988/89 RDV-005..... its the same concept the 1988 has the reverse of an 89.. these are worth at times alot more than the 1998 & 2000 wide am's and can be found in both "P" and "D" ..these have only been established with a cherrypickers number too. I see that on ebay there are a few of these. here is an article link too http://www.lincolncentresource.com/Featured/1988RDV6.html

  14. Are they worth all the trouble to find as far as value or are they just something to collect aside from a cent album?
I have heard many who collect them but never seen how much in value they would bring.
When i first joined this site one member was saying she was going to have the one she found graded and thats why i ask that question?
