These are not new, I've had these for decades but rarely show them. These are coins from original mint sets I've owned for ever it seems. I have stacks of these mostly 54 & 55 in the old green cardboard mint issued sets. Their fun to look at...I'll call these first two splat as it looks like they got splatted with paint.....DEX

I like this style of toning. I believe there is a term used often for it, but it escapes me right now.
    Awesome Dex!

Here's another I rarely show. The 1926-D is a tough Buffalo Nickel and hard to find with full reverse details, this one is no exception. It's graded 64 and worthy of it's grade in my opinion as the condition of this piece is outstanding with great eye appeal. The obverse of this piece is as close to proof like as it gets for the date, it's hammered!! Thanks for looking.....DEX.

    Wow...another awesome Buff toner, Dex!

And Greg, that is a nice one. I thought it was silver until I saw the D.

Picked this up in a mixed lot of Buffalos on Ebay for my girls new album after cleaning out the local coin shops for needed dates. Coin ended up being much nicer than expected with some die rotation as well, so we will probably find another 1916 P hole filler and set this one aside.

Not be a thread hog but with the recent drop in gold/silver picked up many items to share with the thread. Mostly older commemorative (to me anyways) sets that I was a kid when they were first released and missed out on.

I agree, the San Diego has always been one of my favorites commems too. Fantastic obverse design, love the bear and the shield.

To me, I got a deal on it. Early commems are usually too expensive for me to even consider. I looked at its condition and looked up the coin on the NGC price guide. It said in MS 60 it's around 95-100.00. I paid 95 for mine. Even if I over payed it's still a wonderful piece. I love it.
