possible 83' DDR

    I'm not seeing anything that would indicate a DDR. Petty much all doubled dies that are as strong as the 83 DDR show on more than just one letter.
    Keep up the hunt!

    it shows on more letters its just hard to beam light on it while trying to take a good pic with a shacky cam.

    Sorry, the 83 is far more pronounced than that. I see a regular 83 reverse

    I don't see how. MD is worthless doubling caused by the coin moving slightly while being struck by the die, as opposed to a true doubled die which is caused by rotation of the hub when striking the working die.

    Mechanical doubling. EXTREME MD can command a premium. This, most likely not. If you do end up putting it on ebay, make sure to explicitly state that it is mechanical doubling and not a doubled die. Not a "machine double die", not a "double date", just plain old mechanical doubling.

    That's not machine doubling. It appears to either be a plating issue or die wear.
