It's a very nice coin...made during a very interesting period of history. I think the value of coins are more than just their PM value...or what someone will pay. That coin could have been struck on the eve of the D-Day invasion. I wonder what was going through the mind of the person running the press at that time. It could have been a woman whose husband or brother was part of the landing force.
