Thanks! I had a dealer friend look it up for me: Its a civil war store card or token. The book he had said the rarity was R5 (whatever that means) but estimates only 75 to 200 pieces! Yeah, for a penny I was thinking thats not a bad deal :D

The boxed halves skunkfest continues....two boxes last night both skunk. Couple of skunk dime boxes somewhere in there as well.

However, I did find a tarnished 64' at a new bank today!! The teller finds in April have been making up for all the skunk boxes I've been going through.....

    Tues searches:

    $160 Loomis MWR halves: skunk
$450 Loomis MWR dimes: 1 Roosie, 1 Canadian

The Canadian dime I found was a '68 but it didn't pass the magnet test so sadly it wasn't silver.

I only had an hour to look today, so I got a box of dimes. It was a good box! Two Mercs (I think that is the first time I found two Mercs in one box), a 1940 and a 1944 and a 1964-D Roosie. Add in one 1969-D half dollar and it is a good day!

I don't know about other places in the country, but BWR Half Dollars aren't producing around here. Regardless, I won't stop searching.

I've been running a snack business off of my tool box at work the last few years. Make pretty good money on percentages. Today I found a '64 dime in the can. First silver coinage scored.

if the '68 dime did not stick to the magnet it is 50% silver FYI.

Same here in Texas as well....more luck this month with bank finds then box finds. However, I did score 2x40%ers last night in one box (67', 69') and a 02' proof.....that keeps me hunting!

Well...insert foot in mouth. Another box tonight and I scored 2x64's and 5x40%ers, and a really cool looking rainbow toned clad.

That's 81 silvers in April...my best month by far:)!!!

    Wed searches:

    $100 Loomis MWR halves: skunk
$360 Loomis MWR dimes: 4 Roosies

I've also been having a really hard time with halves. Nothing in several weeks from rolls. I always feel like I'm due but I just keep getting skunked day after day. Fortunately, dimes have been pretty good to me and thats the only thing keeping me optimistic.
