I'm sure an incident like a president being killed now will almost be impossible with the Secret Service around him the whole time.
is this being racist? or just ignorant? One must be a coin specialist in something other than United States coins. The Kennedy assassination took place in a vastly different America, one where not matter what ones political affiliation there was still a heart and soul. Sadly enough in this day and age no matter who the president is half the folks will mourn and the other half will be in the streets celebrating. sheesh. -walter
Sure, once a president has died, there may at some later point very well be a (circulating or commemorative) coin with his portrait. As for some other comments here, maybe they were supposed to be funny, but they were inappropriate for "Coin Chat" ... Christian

Yes but what I think he means is that society is different today. During the Kennedy assassination everyone was upset about it and mourned regardless of their political affiliation (or at least it was perceived that way to me. I was born in 75.) EDITED~ Political
Im trying to get the mint to put me on a $3 coin. Maybe if they stop hanging up on me, Ill be able to explain the design better.
That's because they already chose ME for the design. I look into my crystal ball...the image is cloudy...but what's this? The image is becoming vivid. I see...I see...this thread getting locked very soon!
