Hi Everyone, I just bought 2007 Canadian Maple Leaf from a reputable online store. It comes in an assay card. I noticed that in every picture on internet Maple Leaf side of the coin is in front side of the card and queen is on the back side of the card but mine is just opposite. Should I be worried? Also is it a good idea to take the coin out of Assay card to check the density, will it lose too much value? . http://www.monex.com/images/photos/prodGoldMaple03.jpg Mine has queen in front side, not like this picture.Sorry for my bad English and thanks in advance

Congratulations on getting your first gold coin!!! I know I was very excited when I got my first gold coin :) In regards to your questions. From my understanding the side of the coin that shows the Queen is actually considered the obverse (front side) of the coin and so the maple leaf would be the reverse side. So I wouldn't be worried about that. As to checking the density, if you bought from a reputable dealer, I wouldn't worry about that. But if it worries you that much then go right ahead. Will it lose value? It might lose numismatic value (what a collector would pay for it). The value of the actual gold will go up or down based on market prices. So that wont' be affected by removing the coin from the card.
