I have added a few pieces and taken better pictures of my type set. Its getting harder and harder to finish the set on a budget. Also I have gotten as much joy putting a low grade set together as some of my high grade sets. You dont need to buy the highest grade coins to enjoy this hobby.

I hate to admit, when I have bought circulated commems they have all been at melt - which is kind of nice when you are talking Sesquicentennials, Stone Mtn etc. For a large part, save the Columbians, circ commemoratives are scarcer than their uncirculated brethren.

Thats how I got started with the set. I was looking through a coin shops junk silver and I found a stone mountain and a booker. Bought those and kept going

I do have a few circulated a Columbian , Stone Mt. , Pilgrim and a LaFayette . I wonder how many Hawaiian commems you can find circulated ?

Not many Rusty. I'd like to see one pegged lower than XF.......now there's a true rarity. :)

I believe even in 1928 they were selling for $2-4 apiece - so not a lot of risk of them dropping into circulation.
