I couldn't help to post this before the outcome, I am simply to excited. A gentlemen overheard me asking for pennies at a deli. I explain the weight differences between copper and zinc and how I pay at 2.5 gram a piece so no counting is needed. He said "oh. I have a lot of pennies. My store use to be an arcade and they had buckets in the basement of all the things kids use to put in the machines, plus I've been throwing pennies in them since the mid eighties. You are more than welcome to come by tomorrow after 5pm and see if there is anything you want"

Then he told me to bring a handtruck.

I'd think long and hard about making the 500-mile drive from HERE for an opportunity like that. :) Good luck!

I was sorting for a few hours. I managed to pull 66 lbs out of buckets of washers (some had string tied to them :D), tokens, nickels and dimes. Not a single piece of silver and onlt a few nickels 1959 or older. I sorted the tokens and will do some research before I go back. I would say I sorted half the lot.

A sorted about $25 worth last night and here are some finds so far.

About 35 wheats include a heavily corroded 1914. Its in horrible shape but perfect for my Ugliest Cent Collection lol.
    1918, 1919, 1939 and the rest 40/50s with a few S mints. Another toned 1956 as well.
Almost a roll of 2009 Ps and Ds
    15 or so canadians, including a 1951
    Some type of arab coin
About $8 in copper, with about $3 in Ds and cherrypicker list copper.
TONS of cherrypicker list zinc. More than the years that were instant coinstar food.
5 S mint memorials and the 70s in gorgeous.
10 or so cherry red copper coins
Atleast a roll of toned coins.

Its been a great pick so far.
