I found this in an estate and have not been able to find more about it.

Front of coin is a bust of Lenin

    Back of coin translates to:

Communism is Soviet power plus the electrification

    of the whole country

The bust looks a lot like the 100 year lenin ruble coin (i think it was 5 rubles) but no date...so I am guessing it is at least older than 1979 and Lenin was still alive---Just guessing here...

I was trying to translate parts of the paper that is with it, but kept ending up with nonsense phrases and a few words. I think it is a paper showing this to be the Xth out of XXX made. But not sure.

The paper itself seems quite old the way it is printed, but it could just be the difference between russian and US printing.

I clean up and sell estate contents for a living, and I get caught up in little mysteries like this.....

Medal from 1980, according to the COA. You translated it correctly, and it is an actual phrase from Lenin's speech from 1920.

The COA says the medal is from a factory in Mytishchi, a place near Moscow. It also says that the original price of this item when it was sold is 90 kop., less then 1 ruble.

It seems one like it sold in 2010 for $6 in Russia. There is one for sale now for $3.15 in Russian online auction.

If its your lucky eBay day, I`d say it might sell for up to $15 in US.

OK, so it WAS after his death, then. Pretty neat.
Being in a box like that I did not figure it to be valuable, but did not want to short sell the heirs of this estate.
And, my darn curiosity...just couldnt leave it be.....
    Thanks!
