I pulled this from a roll I got at my local gas station yesterday. It is a very strong obv. and rev. clash. It has some letters transferred, the mint mark, and even Roosevelt's actual eye. This is by far the best clash I have pulled roll searching.
"Unlisted"? I was not aware that die clashes were "listed"? At any rate, coming across one of these has its own personal rewards associated with it. Back in the 60's. a 1964-D was found with such a clash and it was referred to as a BandAid Nose Roosevelt. I picked one up from a local dealer simply because he was really proud of it and I knew he needed the money.
Danged 'clash' thingos make me dizzy. I twist and crain my neck and wind up with a stiff one. And it ain't a woody......
Maddieclashes.com has a list of atypical, typical, and other sorts of clashes listed. Of course it would need to be a very strong clash in order to be listed, otherwise the site would be overflowing with listings.
I got in touch with BJ Neff and the coin is on it's way. I had a 1978 Jefferson listed and this one is better.
