Is there any feature on a silver eagle bullion coin that lets one know it was minted at San Francisco Mint? Do San Francisco minted silver eagles carry a premium over others?

Yes, there is an "S" mintmark on the reverse.

On bullion coins, no. On Mint Direct collector coins, yes, the mint mark. On one of the post hear someone found a slight difference in the tail feathers in the 2010s. Here's a link to that thread: http://www.cointalk.com/t195120/

You guys are awesome as usual. I bought a box of 2013 SF mint silver eagles that's still mint sealed. I'm afraid to open it now! Guess I'll lock em in the safe and wait to see if anyone comes up with a definitive SF Mint "marker" down the road. Thanks again.
