The mint just posted on the ASE 3-coin set page that "Order have been taken that meet maximum mintage..." I hope everybody here ordered in time to get what they wanted! Now let's see what the resale price of the sets does....
Ase A quick question - have people been getting their sets in the mail? I was wondering when the delivery date was supposed to be on these - I sent my order in on September 1, but nothing so far.
I haven't received mine yet either. I thought I'd try and come out ahead of the game this time and ordered two more sets than I needed. I figured that when the two sets I don't need sell for $250.00 or more a piece, I'l sell them and pay for the three sets I did keep. I wonder how long it will take? :high5:
My 1st order says in stock and in process to ship. I expect it in the next week. My other 2 orders I entered a few weeks later still says backorder expect to to ship Dec 12th.
Don't worry Ernie. Some people have already gotten their sets but the vast majority of us are looking at Dec.8th but hoping for earlier.Chances are, most people will get them a bit before that.:thumb: Later in the day....The Mint charged my card today so they're ready to ship.I've ordered a LOT of things from them and they always go out within 2 days of taking your money.
ND 86 - you called this perfectly! Hope those who read your prediction a short time ago got their orders in. Dragon
I ordered two ASE sets. I ordered one set 15 minutes after they went on sale and a second set the followind day. I got the first order last week and the second order is "In stock and reserved." Of course I ordered the L&C coin and currency set which was also listed as "In stock and reserved" for a few weeks and then the mint cancelled it and sent me a "sold out" notice.
Dragon first thing i thought of was ND 86 post. Only thing I hate about it is when the coin show say the mint has sold out , they would not be lieing again. Can go on through "next in line" experience again if you are up to it. Think the mint should call it "bottom of the Barrel" list , just to introduced something new to their terminology just as they do with the coins.
Just got mine in the mail today. Look nice. I have never owned a reverse proof and the effect is unusual. I will ask a question that has no doubt been asked and answered 5000 times before - but is the regular proof in this ASE anniversary set the same as the proof ASE the Mint sold earlier this year for $27.95? Thanks.
My local coin dealer offered me $150.00 per set if he could have them before Christmas. I do have two extra sets to sell but I think the price will go a bit higher especially right before Christmas and shortly after the first of the year. If I can get $250.00 per set I'll have paid for all 5 and gotten 3 for free. Sweet! :mouth:
Yes,the proof is the same but the UNC is in a satin finish from what I understand so it should carry a bit of a premium over those ho-hum ones everyone bought in January.I could be wrong 'cause the mint website doesn't mention the satin finish but I think I read it on here.
Wait - isn't the uncirculated one in the 3-piece set also different from the regular uncirculated in that it has a "W" mint mark, while the regular one has no mint mark?
I ordered two and my ship date indicates 12/11/06. Thought there might be low mintage on this year since they announced them so late.
