Dipped once too many times, too, IMO

 

Agreed--it definitely lost some luster from the dippings. Still an MS coin, but not BU--the chin hit would deduct one full grade by itself IMHO. Dipping makes the coin look less attractive.

 

I have posted a few Morgan's on here and I just got a magnifying glass for my iPhone and I get better pics of the where you can see the luster on all of them

I agree. I think that chin ding kills this coin. I think it's MS62 at best.

 

Silver has dropped a lot lately and melt value is still $18.78 so I think $20 is good for this coin.

Don't think so, as I do not see any hairlines, swirls, or pitting that would show a mechanical cleaning or polishing. Just looks like a bad case of overdipping that yields the dead luster look that so many zealously dipped Morgans possess. I think low level MS.

 

Don't move.....rotate coin 90 degrees counterclockwise.....take photo!

I understand that. Get set up for the photo just like you would normally do, but before snapping the pic, rotate the coin 90 degrees CCW. Try it!
