can you post the rev picture too? As I posted an 1904 O a few weeks back won here in a contest that had the same cud and was a vam is this coin a O or P Mint Mark?
That is a rim break, not a cud. A cud is defined as a rim break that extends into the fields, and denticles are considered an extension of the rim. Chris

Why do some people keep referring to this kind of rim break as a "cud"? If you have a flat tire because the valve stem broke, do you call it a blow-out? Chris
That's just the terminology that I was introduced to. For instance, coppercoins lists "rim cuds" as a die marker for the 1972P-1DO-004.
